“…speak evil of no one, – avoid quarreling, – be gentle, and – show perfect courtesy toward all people.” -Titus 3:2
This verse reminds me so much of what mothers endeavour to teach thier children. There is a larger context, but on the face of it it is just really good motherly advice. Mothers are always telling thier children one of the following:
- Don’t call them that even if it’s true!
- Stop fighting over stupid stuff!
- Don’t play so rough!
- Mind your manners!
I think Paul was reading my mom’s mind. So today remember all those good things your mom taught you. She’s got God on her side!
